Child abuse prevention and strengthening families through community education.

Child Abuse Prevention Month

Time to raise awareness about child abuse and neglect and create strong communities.

Let’s work together to create strong communities for families to raise children!

Strong Communities = Strong Families

NHCASA strives to educate the community on current concerns affecting youth and families in our community through Public Education Forums and Lunch & Learn events. These events also serve as annual in-service training hours required for CASA volunteers.

National CASA requires that CASA Volunteers need 12 hours of annual in-service hours. Credits can be earned by attending CASA sponsored trainings, or by attending other community provided (pre-approved) trainings.

Lunch & Learn Series

Monthly training event featuring guest speakers. The event is held the third Wednesday of the month (September-May) at Our Saviors Lutheran Church. Includes lunch. Please RSVP via the calendar.

Child Watch Tour

Annual tour of facilities that service children and families in the Black Hills. Held the first week in May. Please RSVP via the calendar.

Outreach Events

NHCASA participates in community service activities such as Making Christmas Memories, Sturgis Community Showcase, Spearfish Multi- Member Mixer to promote our mission.
